Tommy Carrington
Founder and President
Tommy Carrington was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where he was involved in a number of ministry teams both on his high school campus and through his church.
After High School he moved to the United States and attended Miami Christian College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in Counseling Psychology and Biblical Studies. He accepted a position with Miami Youth for Christ as a chaplain of the Juvenile Detention Center, and later served as an Area Director in Miami's urban community.
After 12 years with Youth for Christ, Tommy joined the staff of Reach Out Youth Solutions where he developed a training program for urban youth leaders. In 2002, God led him to launch the Urban Training Network, a national ministry developed to equip young people and youth leaders with a strategy for evangelism and discipleship.
Dr. Carrington earned his Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University, and the Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, specializing in “Ministry in Complex Urban Settings.”
Dr. Carrington currently serves as the President of the Urban Training Network, and also serves as an adjunct professor at Trinity International University / South Florida Campus, and at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He travels extensively, speaking at evangelistic rallies, high school outreaches, churches, camps, retreats and seminars for youth and adult leaders.
